Our innovative gourmet excellence is perhaps our most talked about distinction, a promise that you will savour the best gourmet experience at sea. From fine French cuisine or delicate Asian options to relaxed Italian family-style meals, our chef's creativity knows no limits. Fincantieri delivered the fleet's ninth ship, Silver Muse to Silversea on 2 April 2017, at its Sestri Ponente shipyard. Be the first to know about our itineraries, and receive exclusive offers, destination articles and more. Silversea does not ban children, but it does not encourage them either.
Embark on a door-to-door luxury cruise that immerses you in the authentic beauty of the world
Taking you from home to your domestic airport and back again, this luxury service is included as part of our all-inclusive offer with all new bookings on all voyages. Silversea sails to distinctive destinations such as the incredible Northwest and Northeast Passages and also from pole to pole. Iconic cities or remote shores, wherever you want to go, you can get there with Silversea. The first president of Silversea would be John Bland, former president of Sitmar Cruises. The majority of the first office staff had worked together at Sitmar Cruises. Our ships range in size from 51 to 364 suites to ensure each of our guests finds the perfect balance between choice and intimacy.

Silversea's smallest ships are designed for those who delight in the thrill of discovery while indulging mind and body in the most lavish surroundings imaginable. All accomodations are spacious, ocean-view suites that include butler service, and most include private verandas. Silversea voyages and cruise expeditions sail to over 900 destinations on all seven continents, more than any cruise line.
The atmosphere onboard is decidedly adult with multicourse dinners, formal dress codes and activities like bridge games, cocktail tastings and ballroom dance classes. There are no youth lounges (except on Silver Muse), and only holiday and summer sailings with extra kids onboard have any sort of youth counselor and kid programming. Unless your kids can entertain themselves and have been accustomed to long dinners and behaving in the presence of adults, you'll be better off with another line.
Your home away from home on the high seas awaits aboard our luxury cruise ships. Broadway shows, dancing till dawn and big-name comedians or magicians are not a hallmark of this cruise line. You'll get the ship's team of singers and a couple of pianists on cruises shorter than two weeks; book a longer sailing, and you'll find a guest entertainer and maybe an expert lecturer. Longer cruises also employ gentlemen hosts to ballroom dance with the ladies, but you won't have a lot of entertainment venues or options on Silversea ships. Take your Silversea all-inclusive experience to new heights. Start your cruise as soon as you leave home with our new chauffeur service.
Silversea's cruise ships carry 298 to 608 passengers; its expedition vessels carry 100 to 254 passengers. On the classic cruise side, the line has the smallest ships (Silver Wind, Shadow and Whisper) compared to luxury competitors such as Seabourn, Regent and Crystal. Although the vessels are small, they feel roomy, thanks to the low passenger count. That means you never feel crowded or waste time queuing. Every cabin on a Silversea cruise ship is called a suite because it has sleeping and sitting areas separated by at least a curtain.
